Appetizer, Side or Snack: Edamame

This is by far the easiest recipe ever two ingredients, 5 minutes and a microwave. YAY!

Prep time: 30 seconds
Cook time: 3 minutes
Skill level: Beginner (A supervised child could make this)

What you will need:

2 cups Edamame beans (In the pod)
1 Tbs Rock/Kosher salt (or to taste)

Directions:
pour frozen whole beans into microwave safe bowl
sprinkle kosher salt on top
place in microwave with wax paper covering it or a plate

microwave on high for 3 minutes or until beans are hot

Remove wax paper, or plate and serve in cocking bowl or transfer to serving dish and serve HOT!

High in soy protein and low in fat- kids love these too!

What is Vegophobia exactly?

Vegophobia-is a words some vegetarians and vegans use to describe a group of the public at large who are  generally misinformed or undereducated about what it means to be a vegetarian or vegan. Not to be confused with 'Lachanophobia' (scared of vegetables). It means fear of solely a vegetable based diet.

You might hear questions from someone who suffers from the phobia like "...But what do you eat then?" or the ever popular "so...you don't even eat fish...or BACON?"

This blog serves as one cure for the phobia by way of introducing those who are afraid into the world of delicious meat-free cuisine.

Most of the recipes are laughably simple and are cooked by a 23 year old university student who lives in Halifax, Canada in a 6 foot by 12 foot galley kitchen.

YES you can cook vegetarian food!

Welcome to A Cure For Vegophobia.
